What makes a personalized kids’ book actually personal
How photo-based illustrated storybooks differ from name-inserted stock stories — and what to expect from Toto.
Not just a name drop-in
Many “personalized” books insert a child’s name into a fixed template. A photo-based book draws your child as the illustrated hero: likeness, age, and story choices run through every spread.
Toto is built for ages 3–6. You upload one to three photos, pick a theme and art style, approve the character, then read a twelve-spread adventure on screen before ordering a hardcover.
Why approval gates matter
Parents approve the character sheet (and story) before the full illustration run continues. That keeps the likeness gate in your hands — nothing is “final” until you say so.
